What caused the setbacks during your trucking school journey?
—The setbacks were mainly due to administrative errors, such as missing paperwork and scheduling issues. Additionally, the firing of one of the instructors created a shortage, making it difficult to schedule driving practice.
Did you manage to pass any part of the CDL test?
—Yes, I successfully passed the pre-trip portion of the CDL test, which covers inspecting a commercial vehicle before driving. However, I haven't yet completed the driving and maneuvering portions.
When is your rescheduled CDL test?
—My rescheduled CDL test is on February 13th. I'm hopeful that everything goes smoothly and I can finally obtain my CDL.
What are your plans for the future?
—Aside from completing my trucking school journey, I plan to move into a new house with my girlfriend and daughter. It's an exciting step for us as we work towards building a better future.
How do you stay motivated despite the setbacks?
—Despite the setbacks, I remain motivated by focusing on my long-term goals and reminding myself of the opportunities that obtaining a CDL will bring. I also have a supportive network of family and friends who encourage me every step of the way.
