What inspired you to take on this project?
—I wanted to challenge myself and try something new. The Rockler try that challenge provided the perfect opportunity to push my skills and explore turning and sculpting.
What challenges did you face during the process?
—As a beginner in turning and sculpting, I encountered many challenges along the way. From learning to use the lathe properly to mastering the techniques of carving, each step posed its own difficulties.
Did anything go wrong during the project?
—There were a few mishaps along the way, but I embraced them as learning opportunities. For example, I had to adjust the tailstock setup and experiment with different tools to achieve the desired results.
