TLDROn March 29th, 2024, the Motor Vessel Dolly struck the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore. The NTSB recovered the Vessel Data Recorder and provided a press conference with key information. The ship sustained heavy damage, including the bow being pushed down due to the weight of the bridge. Salvage will be complex. There are hazmat materials on the ship that need to be addressed.
