🛫The Kaka air strip is being upgraded to accommodate larger aircraft and become an International Airport.
🏢The proposed expansion of the air strip requires the acquisition of approximately 20 acres of land.
⏰The runway can currently be extended up to a maximum of 1,400 meters, accommodating aircraft with a capacity of 60-70 passengers.
💰The Kenya Airports Authority and the County government of Kaka are working together to assess the potential impact and viability of relocating the airport to a different location.
🗺️A multi-agency team will conduct an aeronautical study to evaluate the suitability and potential impact of the proposed runway extension and airport relocation.
