What baits and techniques did you use?
—I used a variety of baits such as creature baits, shads, and hard baits. I also used different rigging options, including jig heads and weedless rigging. This allowed me to target different areas and increase my chances of catching big perch and pike.
Did you catch any other species?
—While targeting perch and pike, I also caught a few pike along the way. It was an unexpected surprise, but a welcome one. It added to the excitement of the fishing session.
What was the highlight of the session?
—The highlight of the session was landing a pike and a perch at the same time. It was an incredible moment and something I've never experienced before. It just goes to show that you never know what you'll catch when you're out on the river.
Why did you end the session early?
—I ended the session early because I received a phone call about my new extra heavy fishing setup arriving. I didn't want to miss the opportunity to use it before the end of the river season. Although I could have potentially caught a bigger perch, the fishing had already been fantastic, so I decided to call it a day.
What are your plans for the new fishing setup?
—With the new extra heavy fishing setup, I plan to target bigger predators, such as big pike and catfish. I'm excited to see what I can catch with this new setup and explore new fishing opportunities.
