Reptile Room Tour: Exploring the World of Reptiles

🦎We have a collection of day geckos, including Hulk and AJ, which we might donate to the zoo for people to interact with.

🐍Our resident snake, Bambi, is a beautiful ball python with a unique coloration.

How did you start your reptile collection?

—It all began when we received Fudge, a ball python, as our first reptile. Since then, our love for reptiles has grown, and we have expanded our collection to include a variety of species.

What is your favorite reptile in your collection?

—While it's hard to choose a favorite, we are particularly fond of our bearded dragon, Branch. He has been with us for a long time and is incredibly friendly and well-behaved.

Are tarantulas dangerous?

—Tarantulas are generally not dangerous to humans. While they possess venom, it is rarely harmful to humans and is primarily used for subduing their prey. With proper handling, tarantulas can be fascinating and docile pets.

What is the plan for your baby alligator, Pete?

—Pete was rescued from a situation where he was not being cared for properly. We are currently taking care of him and plan to send him to Gatorland, where he will have a safe and suitable environment to live in.

How do you ensure the safety of your reptiles and the people handling them?

—We prioritize safety when handling our reptiles. We have years of experience and take necessary precautions, such as handling certain species with two people. Additionally, we ensure that our reptiles are given appropriate living conditions and veterinary care.
