Our Journey: From Buying Our First Home to Starting a Family

🏡We bought our dream home on 5 acres and have been building our homestead ever since.

🏙We have successfully completed various home improvement projects, including painting the house, expanding our patio, and renovating our dining room.

💦We have cleared and beautified our property, removing trees and creating outdoor living spaces.

🤑We have started a woodworking business and used a sawmill to mill boards for our projects.

😍And most importantly, we are excited to announce that we are expecting a baby!

What inspired you to prioritize a more simple life and become self-sufficient?

—We have always wanted to start a family and raise our children in a peaceful and sustainable environment. The desire for a simpler life led us to prioritize self-sufficiency and create a homestead.

How did you handle the challenges of renovating and beautifying your property?

—Renovating and beautifying our property had its challenges, but we tackled them one step at a time. We learned new skills, sought advice from experts, and stayed motivated by focusing on our long-term vision.

How did you manage to start a woodworking business and use a sawmill?

—Starting a woodworking business and using a sawmill required some initial investment and learning. We purchased a sawmill, learned how to use it effectively, and began milling boards for our projects. We also considered market demand and developed a business plan.

What are your plans for the future?

—Our main focus now is preparing for the arrival of our baby. We will continue to build and improve our homestead, while also taking care of our growing family. We're excited for the journey ahead!
