How did your boat, the Silverton 410 Cockpit Motor Yacht, meet your cruising needs?

—The Silverton 410 Cockpit Motor Yacht was the perfect size and fit for our Great Loop adventure. With two staterooms and a split head, it provided ample space for living and storage. Its Galley up design allowed for a beautiful view while cruising. Overall, the boat has proven to be a comfortable and reliable choice for our journey.

Did you primarily stay in marinas or anchor during your Great Loop journey?

—While we primarily stayed in marinas, enjoying the amenities and convenience they offered, we also spent some time anchoring. However, we anchored less frequently due to personal preference and being ex Navy, I prefer to be on watch while anchoring. Nonetheless, we plan to become more comfortable with anchoring and hope to anchor more in the future.

How has your Great Loop adventure been despite delays and changes?

—Our Great Loop adventure has been truly memorable, despite the unexpected delays and changes in our original plan. We've had the opportunity to explore different places, enjoy beautiful views, and meet fellow Loopers along the way. It's a journey filled with learning, adventure, and the joy of being on the water. We're excited for more water adventures in the future.

What are your future plans for cruising after completing the Great Loop?

—After completing the Great Loop, we're open to new cruising opportunities. While we don't have specific plans yet, we're looking forward to exploring different waterways, visiting new destinations, and creating more unforgettable experiences on the boat. The freedom and adventure of cruising have captured our hearts, and we're excited for what the future holds.

—Absolutely! The Great Loop adventure offers a unique and diverse experience. It allows you to see beautiful landscapes, experience different cultures, and meet fellow boaters along the way. Whether you're an experienced boater or a novice, the Great Loop provides an opportunity to challenge yourself, create memories, and discover the beauty of America's waterways. It's a journey that will stay with you for a lifetime.
