✈️We will be navigating a long-distance relationship as he works on a unique firefighter schedule with 4 days off

How long will your partner be in Maui?

—At minimum, he will be in Maui for three and a half months, but it could potentially be longer depending on vacant positions in our area

How often will you see each other?

—We plan to see each other during his 4 days off, which will involve travel but are grateful for the proximity of Maui

What challenges do you anticipate in a long-distance relationship?

—One of the main challenges will be not being able to share the significant experiences we are both having during this time, such as him starting his dream career and me buying a house

How are you handling the moving process?

—I have started packing up our apartment, taking apart furniture, and dealing with the challenges of removing screws from the walls. It's a process of embracing independence and preparing for the next chapter.

How are you feeling about living alone again?

—While it takes some adjustment, I am confident in my ability to live alone as I have done it before. I am also excited for the opportunity for personal growth and the occasional visit from my partner.
