—Costa Rica's lower cost of living allowed us to live comfortably on $30,000 a year. We also found work that aligned with our passions, making it feel like we weren't even working.

—One of the biggest challenges was being far from family and friends, especially during difficult times. We also had to adjust to the different environment and wildlife.
