🌊The Niagara Parks Power Station is the last intact power station of its kind from the early 1900s.
🏭The power station was decommissioned in 2006 and turned over to Niagara Parks in 2009 for preservation and visitor experience.
🔌The original generators, powered by water from the Niagara River, created electricity and contributed to the first green energy in the world.
🚇The tunnel, 2200 feet long, was used to return water from the 11 turbines back to the river.
🌍Visiting the tunnel provides a unique perspective of Niagara Falls and allows guests to witness the power of the falls up close.
