—We spent months planning, studying maps and guidebooks, and gaining the necessary skills and experience in mountain running, glacier travel, and rock climbing.

—One of the most memorable moments was reaching the summit of Welcome Peak and realizing the enormity of the task ahead. It was a powerful mix of excitement and apprehension.
