What were your overall impressions of the West Coast of the United States?

—I loved San Diego and enjoyed the energetic atmosphere and club scene. Vegas was not my favorite due to the dry air, limited activities for my age group, and heavy gambling culture.

How easy or difficult was it to coordinate an overseas trip with friends?

—Coordinating the trip was quite last-minute, but things worked out well overall. Renting a car gave us flexibility, although it was costly. Booking accommodations in advance and planning activities ahead of time helped make the trip smoother.

What was the nightlife like in the US compared to Australia?

—The nightlife in the US, particularly in San Diego and LA, had impressive venues with great setups, lighting, and energy. However, Australian clubs tend to have more lively vibes and a higher level of engagement from the crowd.

What were some surprising things you encountered during your trip?

—I was surprised by the prevalence of cash payments in the US, as well as the noticeable issues of homelessness in Los Angeles. Additionally, the differences in club culture, like bottle service, were unexpected.

Which was your favorite club or nightlife experience from the trip?

—One of my favorite nightclub experiences was at Dirty Laundry in LA. The music was great, people were dancing, and the atmosphere was lively. It was refreshing to have a club with a diverse crowd and a mix of music genres.
