What is the refugee crisis in Bangladesh?
—Hundreds of thousands of people from Burma, mainly Muslims, have sought refuge in Bangladesh due to persecution and ethnic extermination. The situation in the refugee camp is dire, lacking basic services and rights.
Why were you detained in Bangladesh?
—The authorities suspected us of being reporters due to our equipment, such as a drone. After a brief investigation, they allowed us to enter Bangladesh but restricted us from taking any photos or videos.
How did the press and media amplify your case?
—Despite not facing significant problems, the media coverage helped spread awareness of our situation. It was reassuring to know that if we encountered any major issues, people would know about it.
