—I have harvested the pepper plants and potted up a portion of them to keep them alive indoors throughout the winter. I'm still deciding whether to keep them next to a window or in a grow room with lights on a timer.

—For the winter season, I plan to grow more kale and winter squash for the chickens. These crops will provide fresh greens and food throughout the colder months.

—I have been growing an abundance of kale in the garden to supplement the chickens' diet throughout the winter. I am also considering freezing large zucchinis or storing winter squash in the basement for their consumption.
